| | Karate is not just a sport it is also a school of
discipline and a few simple rules for respectful behaviour and
safety must be observed within the Dojo
Respect for the Dojo facilitates good learning and good
karate
Dojo Rules
- Student to Bow on entering and leaving the Dojo
- Karate suit shall be white and clean
- No metallic objects to be worn (jewellery etc)
- Toe and finger nails to be kept short and clean
- No eating, drinking, smoking, chewing gum or bad
behaviour in the Dojo
- Respect higher grades
- The instructor shall always be addressed as Sensei
- Guests should maintain a respectful silence during
classes
- Respect other students' varying abilities
- No swearing, or racist / sexist language
